Then down to Old Town, into an old Victorian house with a garden the cats could come and go from. Inside and out, on their own terms.
Old Town is a hilltop village in the parish of Wadsworth, some six hundred feet up above the valley. The amenities run to the Wadsworth Community Centre on Billy Lane and the Old Town post office — which suited the cats, who much preferred the garden to the bright lights.
